Edward DeWolf “Pete” Perry, 85 of Riverside died Sunday at the Fatima Hospital in North Providence. He was the husband of the late Hazel Perry.
Pete attended the Providence Country Day School and was a graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a degree in Aeronautical Engineering. He pursued a career in structural Engineering with a special interest in innovation. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He loved to fly and had a pilot’s license.
He leaves a daughter: Kate Burgess of Greenfield, OH, a grandson; Jeffrey Burgess and 2 great grandchildren. He also leaves a sister: Katherine Perry Rodman of Riverside, a niece; Susannah Wojas, a nephew, Edward Tucker Rodman and their children.
The funeral services will be private. Donations in his memory may be made to Hamilton House, 276 Angell St., Providence, RI 02906 or the Providence Country Day School.
