Obituary for Donald A. MacIntosh
Donald A. MacIntosh, 104, of Providence passed away Sunday, February 1. He was the husband of the late Doris (Thornton) MacIntosh.
Born in Nova Scotia, the son of the late James and Minnie (MacDonald) MacIntosh. He moved to Providence in 1928.
He was the manager of the Stock Room and the Shipping Department at Brown & Sharpe, retiring in 1975. Donald served as the Head of the Technical Dept. at the Barker Playhouse and was a member of Central Congregational Church.
He leaves a daughter, Barbara Kissack and her husband Jim Kissack of Chepachet, as well as a niece, Beverly Lavallee and her husband Bob, of Maryland, a nephew, Wendell MacIntosh, of Nova Sco
tia, and a grand nephew, Calvin MacIntosh, of Nova Scotia.Â
Donald is predeceased by five sisters, Anne, Eva, Jessie, Christine, and Catherine.
A memorial Service will be held Saturday at 11am in Central Congregational Church, 296 Angell Street, Providence. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Central Congregational Church, 296 Angell Street, Providence, RI 02906.
