Obituary for Cynthia MacMullen
Cynthia L. “Cindy” (Curtis) MacMullen 51, of Coventry, passed away Saturday, September 7, 2019 at Riverview Nursing Home, Coventry.

She was the beloved wife of Jeffrey P. MacMullen of Coventry. Born in Warwick, a daughter of the late Donald W. Curtis and Patricia A. Curtis (Barton). She was a resident of Coventry and Warwick most of her life.

Mrs. MacMullen was employed with the State of Rhode Island as a Community Living Aide for many years before retiring. She loved spending time with her children and her grandson. She also enjoyed playing her games (Candy Crush & Bingo) on her tablet along with watching T.V. shows and sloth videos.

She is survived by three children, Justin A. Curtis of Cranston; Shyanne L. Allan of Cranston; and Shay-Lynn Allan of Coventry. She is also survived by her grandson Geovonie R. Curtis of Burrillville, and three sister’s, Tiffany L. Potter (Curtis) of Ranger, West Virginia; Rachael M. Sorenson (Curtis) of Woonsocket; and Lauren E. Pendergast (Curtis) of Mansfield Massachusetts; and many nieces and nephews.

Cindy has gracelessly decided to donate her body to Brown University for educational purposes. This was an honor to be accepted into and something that she felt that was very important because it could potentially help save the lives of others. Cindy knew she did not lead the most accepted lifestyle but wanted to make this donation to help others that may have some of the same type of complications. Because of this donation there will not be a traditional funeral, but we will be holding a Celebration of Life. Her Celebration of Life will be held on September 29, 2019 at the American Legion Club Post #2 at 2 Legion Way, West Warwick, RI from 1pm – 4pm. Please feel free to share this with anyone you feel that may not get this information, since this information will not be announced in the newspaper and only via Facebook and on Monahan, Drabble & Sherman Funeral Home’s website.

This was Cindy’s last wish.
