Obituary for Christopher E. Stenberg

Christopher Eric Stenberg, 59, of Pitman Street in Providence died at home on Saturday, September 14th.
Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Carl E. and Marjorie (Jones) Stenberg. He was a graduate of LaSalle Academy and Brown University. For most of his career, Chris was the owner of New England Research Associates, a private investigation firm, and more recently, he was a freelance editor for screenplays.
He loved to read and write, and he had a penchant for trivia and list-making; you always knew what he thought were the definitive top ten of everything, from the best football plays to great American novels. He loved good conversation and would make friends wherever he went. Chris leaves two daughters, Emma Stenberg of Barrington, Abigail Knapton of Warwick; a son, Corey Stenberg of Riverside; a brother, Kurt Stenberg of Providence; and a son-in-law, Sean Knapton.
The funeral service will be held Friday, September 20th at 10am in the Redwood Chapel at Swan Point Cemetery, 585 Blackstone Blvd, Providence. Burial will follow. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, September 19th from 5 to 8pm at the Monahan, Drabble & Sherman Funeral home, 230 Waterman Street Providence.
