Obituary for Charles A. Sylvia, III
Charles A. Sylvia III, of Rumford, 58, died at home on Sunday August 12th.
Born in Providence, he was the son of Evelyn (Hayward) Sylvia and the late Charles A. Sylvia, Jr. He resided in East Providence, previously residing in Warwick and Barrington.
Charles was a designer of fire protection systems for over 40 years, and was most recently a self-employed designer.
Besides his mother he leaves a daughter: Ria Carbary of North Providence; his sister, Nancy Haight of Warwick, his 3 grandchildren. and former wife, Ria Bibby-Kowal of North Providence.
A Memorial service will be held on Wednesday at 11am in the Historic Chapel of Swan Point Cemetery, Blackstone Blvd., Providence. Donations in his memory may be made to The Tomorrow Fund, 593 Eddy St., Providence, RI 02903 or Warwick Animal Shelter, 101 Arthur Devine Blvd, Warwick, RI 02886.
