Obituary for Barbara A. Bovi
Barbara A. Bovi, 67, died Tuesday at home surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Providence a daughter of the late John J. and Adeline (Jurgelewicz) Bovi, she was an East Providence resident her whole life.
Barbara was a manager for the family business, Bovi’s Tavern in East Providence many years. She had also been the hairdresser for the Monahan Drabble Sherman Funeral Home for over 35 years.
She was active in the Silver Spring PTC in Riverside.
She leaves her daughter; Bethany Williamson and her husband Christopher  with whom she made her home and a Son;  Dr. Gregg Allen Medeiros both of East Providence as well as five grandchildren who she loved more than life itself, Dylan, Julia, Ean, Lauren and  Zachary. She also leaves a brother: John Bovi of Seekonk and a sister: Gail Donnelly of Cranston.
Calling hours will be held Friday from 4 to 7pm in the Monahan Drabble Sherman Funeral Home, 230 Waterman St. Providence. Burial will be private. A Celebration of her life will be held on Saturday September 19, 2015 at 11am in the Seekonk Congregational Church, 600 Fall River Ave., Seekonk. In lieu of flowers, Donations in her memory may be made to the Silver Spring PTC, 120 Silver Spring St., Riverside, RI 02915.
