Obituary for Arnold I. Gay
Arnold I. Gay, 92, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 15th, surrounded by his family.  Arnold was the son of Robert and Elsie (Inman) Gay of Plainville Mass, and was predeceased by his wife Helen (Perkins) Gay.  They celebrated 65 years of marriage together.
Arnold graduated from Plainville High School and Wentworth Institute, where he earned his degree in Machine Design.  He worked at the torpedo station in Newport for several years.  After his marriage he moved to North Attleboro and worked at Evans Case. He also worked at Bostitch, Rogers, Leesona and Amtrol.  He was a member of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers, involved with Troop 12 Washington Boy Scouts, and a Trustee at Washington Methodist Church (now Cornerstone of Faith).  He enjoyed camping, biking, woodworking and boating.
He leaves behind two sons, Howard (wife Linda) Gay and Phillip Gay, and a daughter Janet (husband John) Garner.  He was also proud of his five grandchildren Heather, Jonathan, Kimberly, Daniel and Amanda. He was predeceased by siblings Howard, Edith, Blanche and Robert Jr.
There will be a Memorial Service for Arnold at the Cornerstone of Faith United Methodist Church, 1081 Main Street, Coventry on Saturday, April 5th at 10 am. Friends and family are welcome.   Donations in his memory may be made to the Faith United Methodist Church.
