Obituary for Alfred E. Malone
Providence: Alfred E. Malone, 66, of Branch Ave., died Friday at Summit Commons in Providence. Born in Quincy, MA. a son of the later Francis and Lodiane (Landry) Malone, he was a Providence resident for 39 years.
AL was a pipefitter for General Dynamics in Groton Ct. for 28 years. After retiring from General Dynamics, we worked for Wanskuck Post 56, American Legion in Providence as a bartender for many years.
He leaves two sons: Christopher and Philip Malone both of Providence and a granddaughter Jordan Malone. He also leaves 2 brothers; Edward Malone of South Weymouth and Francis Malone of Carver MA.
The funeral will be held Wednesday at 9:45 from the Monahan Drabble Sherman Funeral Home 230 Waterman St., Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial in St Ann’s Church Hawkins St., Providence at 11am. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. Calling hours Tuesday 5-8pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl., Memphis, TN  38105.
