Obituary for Alexandra Reutova
Providence;Â Â Alexandra Reutova, 87, died Tuesday at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence. She was the wife of the late Vasily Reutov.
Born in Voronezh, Russia, she was a daughter of the late Nikolai and Anastasia (Patrakova) Kozlov. She lived through the Russian famine in the 1930 after which her family moved to Tbilisi, Republic of Georgia where she lived until moving to Providence in 1993. Â During World War II, she worked in a munitions factory in Russia.
Throughout her adult life she lived for her family. She was an exceptional, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She leaves 2 daughters: Nadejda Kolopotova and her husband Levan Kolopotov and Lyudmila Onik and her husband Konstantin Onik all of Providence, a grand daughter: Inga Kazakov of Providence, a grandson; David Onik of Barrington and two great grandchildren: Michelle and Daniel Kazakov. She also leaves a sister in Russia: Yevdokiya Zabara.
The funeral service will be held Friday at 11am in the Monahan Drabble Sherman Funeral Home 230 Waterman St., Providence, R.I. Calling hours Thursday 7-9pm.
