Alanna Maria Rose, 60, passed away at home, July 9th, 2018 from health issues, Providence, RI.
Alanna was born July 17, 1957 and was a lifelong resident of Providence, RI she was a member of Holy Name Church. She is survived by her sons Derrell Rose of Pawtucket, RI and Roland Costa, Jr. of Tampa, FL. Sister of Francis L. Rose, Jr. Extended family consist of two sisters Sheila Grant of Florida, Juanita Cameron of Attleboro, MA and Timothy Campbell of Spring Hill, FL. She was stepmother to Rolanda Costa Edmonds, Rachel Bland, Wayne Bland, Jr., Toni Ellen Bland, and Chantee Bland. She had one grandson Desmond Rose, 16 step-grandchildren whom she loved dearly. Alanna was the niece of Alfred Cruz, Sr. and cousin to Maria M Cruz, Alfred Cruz, Jr. and Stephanie Cruz all of Providence, RI. Ms. Rose leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, and numerous cousins and close friends.
Alanna is preceded in death by her mother Julia M. (Cruz) Rose and father Francis L. Rose, Sr.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Name Church 107 Camp St, Monday, July 16th @ 11:00 am, Father Santos will officiate. Donations in her memory may be made to the Salvation Army 386 Broad St. Providence, R.I. 02907
