Obituary for Alan Reniere
Scituate: Reniere, Alan, E., 65, died Friday at his home in Ft. Lauderdale. Born in Providence a son of the late Edward and Alice (Cicerone) Reniere, he was a North Scituate resident for over 20 years.
Alan was president of Alan Reniere Interior Design in Providence retiring 3 years ago. He was a long time active member of S. Stephen Church in Providence where he had served on the vestry, as the Senior Warden, as an acolyte, as a reader and flower arranger. He was a former member of the University Club, had served on the board of the Blackstone Park Improvement Association, was active in Volunteers in Providence Schools, and served on the board of the Beacon Hill Civic Association.
He leaves his partner of 42 years: Brian Ehlers of North Scituate, a brother: Donald Reniere of Cranston and two nieces: Alicia Reniere Castle of Coventry and Pamela Forant of Smithfield.
A Requiem Mass will be held Tuesday March 12 at 11:00 AM in S. Stephen's Church, 114 George St., Providence. A light luncheon reception will follow in the Great Hall. A private committal service will be held at Swan Point Cemetery at a later date for immediate family.
