A. Virginia O'Connor, 85, formerly of Rumford, died Sunday at the Pawtuxet Village Nursing Home.  Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Patrick and Anna Dolan O’Connor, she was a Rumford resident for many years until moving to Warwick to live with her late brother Hubert P. O’Connor.

Virginia was a long time employee of the Outlet Companies, working in their Financial Administration Department until her retirement.

She was a communicant of St. William Church in Warwick and prior to that was an active member and long time communicant of St. Margaret Church in Rumford.  She was a 1940 graduate of Hope High School.

She was also sister of the late Daniel P., Edward and James F. O’Connor.  She leaves nieces, nephews and cousins.

The funeral will be held Friday with visitation starting at 9 am in the Monahan Drabble Sherman Funeral Home, 230 Waterman St., Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. William Church, 200 Pettaconsett Ave., Warwick, at 11 am.  Donations in her memory may be made to St. William Church.
