East Providence:   Carolyn McAuley,66, of Port Charlotte Fl and formerly of Rumford died Sunday at the Tidewell Hospice in Port Charlotte.

Born in Providence a daughter of the late John A. and Helen (Monahan) McAuley, she was a Florida resident for 23 years.

She was a RN working in hospitals in Rhode Island and nursing homes and hospitals in Florida for 40 years.

She was a former member and treasurer of the Providence Diocesan Council of Catholic Nurses.

She leaves 2 sisters: Mary Beauchamp of Harrisville, RI and Eileen C. Martins of Wantage, NJ., her sister in law: Joanne McAuley of Lemoore, CA  and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late John A. “Jack” McAuley, Jr.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday at 10 am in St Margaret’s Church, Pawtucket Ave. Rumford.  Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.  Calling hours are omitted. Donations in her memory may be made to Tidewell Hospice, 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, Fl. 34238.
