Obituary for Theodore C. Littler
Theodore C "Ted" Littler, 91, of Barrington, RI, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, May 16th. Ted was a long-time resident of Providence, RI and Seekonk, MA. before moving to Barrington, RI. A graduate of Duke University, he spent the first half of his career in the hospitality industry, managing hotels in Syracuse and New York City. The people and stories that he shared spoke volumes of the exciting time there.
He then moved on to Providence, RI to the historic Biltmore Hotel ultimately finding his final career stop as a highly successful twenty plus year career as the Tax Assessor of the City of Providence that brought him many friends and much happiness. He enjoyed meeting many wonderful people through his long career maintaining friendships throughout his retirement.
He is predeceased by his beloved wife Helen (Naklick) of 49 years, his parents and siblings. He is survived by multiple generations of family members and friends.
A graveside service will be conducted at the Littler Family plot by Christ Episcopal Church, Manlius, NY. Gifts in Ted’s memory may be made to the Christ Episcopal Church Flower Fund, 407 E. Seneca St., Manlius, NY 13104.
