Obituary for Mary Dunn Hyde
Mary Dunn Hyde, formally of Twin Oaks Drive, Warwick, a former teacher of the Warwick School Department, passed away September 14th at the Mount Vernon Sunrise Home, Alexandria, VA. She was the wife of the late Dr. Robert W. Hyde.
Born in Providence, a daughter of the late A. Gerard and Mary A. (Fitzpatrick) Dunn, she was a Warwick resident for over 55 years.
She was a graduate of Elmhurst Academy, Convent of the Sacred Heart, Providence and Marymount College, Tarrytown, New York. She taught in the Warwick School System for over 40 years.
She leaves a brother, Bernard D. Dunn and his wife Hilda of Alexandria, Virginia, nephews Bernard, Jr. and wife Linda, Brian and wife Kathy, Alex and wife Tracy and niece Mary Catherine, eight grandnephews and grandnieces. She was predeceased by her brother Gerard M. Dunn of Narragansett and a sister Alice D. Hoey of Warwick.
The funeral will be held Saturday, September 30 at 10 AM in Our Lady of Mercy 65 Third Street, East Greenwich to which relatives and friends are invited. Burial will be in St. Patrick Cemetery. Calling hours respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, 1275 York Avenue, NY, NY 10065.
