Warren Albert School of Medicine
The Monahan, Drabble & Sherman Funeral Home is proud to be working with Brown University and the Warren Albert School of Medicine with their Anatomical Gift Program. For over 25 years, we have been assisting the Medical School with helping the families of a donor after the death. We arrange for transport from place of death, file all necessary form including notifying Social Security. We assist the families with getting certified copies of the death certicate, obituaries if requested. When the Medical School is finished with their studies, which is usually 2 to 3 years, we arrange for the cremation and return the cremated remains to the family if requested to.
Important note: Potential donors need to make sure that they get the completed paperwork BACK to Brown University to be enrolled in the Program. If you tell friends and family that is what you want at the time of your death and do not fill out paperwork with Brown AND reutrn it to them you are not enrolled in the Program. All paperwork MUST be done and on file with Brown to be considered enrolled in the Program.
